This week, we would like to praise you all for being friends of ours. You all come nearly every week, smiles stretching from ear to ear, ready to rock and roll…really makes us happy 😀

When we get there to set up at 1200, we’re usually a little worried about how the evening will go…the worrying doesn’t last long, but it always seems like there’s a mountain of work to do in a limited time frame.

Then…you all turn up and the worries of the day disappear and all the hard work pays off.

GETTING DOWN TO BUSINESS - CHANGES IN ATTENDANCE CHECKS ⌛

If you have a look at that image in the top corner of the rather lovely collage above, you can see an example of what The Startup League crew wake up to on a Wednesday morning…just a Wednesday morning.

Now we would like to turn off our phones on a Tuesday evening until Thursday morning to really show you how many messages we not only receive but also send for our match days…but then we’d get nothing done 🥴

We do have certain systems in place to enable us to avoid this situation…but the problem is, we’re all too lovely. A personal service is what we offer. Giving you the opportunity to get those last minute attendance checks in order.

But we have to stop…it’s far too hectic for match day to be doing these changes on match day. Especially with all the setting up we do for the matches too ✌️

So…we have to introduce changes, freeing us up for all the other necessary tasks we have to complete.

In the very near future, there will be one major change made:

> IF ATTENDANCE IS NOT CONFIRMED BY 1900 TUESDAY EVENING, THEN THE SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY CANCEL YOUR MATCH AND FIND A REPLACEMENT FOR YOUR OPPOSITION.

> THIS WILL FREE UP THE TEAM TO UTILISE OUR TIME BETTER THAN WE ARE CURRENTLY.

We all understand that circumstances change…we do get it 100%. But this week showed us that we cannot maintain this for much longer.

We not only have The Startup League Enthusiasts to look after, but the referees. If teams cancel on a Wednesday morning, then we have to cancel the referees. They all have lives too ;)

Ollie will be contacting the team captains personally in the very near future to make sure that they understand this and pass the message onto their team mates.
