Good afternoon everyone! How’s it going!? A very happy Friday to you as always :)

Sun’s out again in full force! The Startup League felt it on Wednesday after a solid 10 hours out in the glorious weather…good stuff 👍

Then…you wonderful people showed up and we had some great matches and some not only helpful, but appreciated feedback regarding the new venue and the plans for the rest of the season.

THIS SEASON AND WHAT IS HAPPENING ▶️

Loads of questions about what’s happening for the rest of the season…those questions shall be answered below…please do read if you had/have questions ✌️

> Originally, this Spring ‘22 season of The Startup League was meant to only last 12 weeks.

> With the level days we had to play (due to acquiring an additional 50 teams) we had already gone over the schedule by 4 weeks.

> Combine that with moving from our previous location…and we end up 6 weeks over schedule.

> We have just finished week 6 of the match schedule.

> There will be another 4 weeks of scheduled matches to play.

> We will then have 2 semi finals and finals weeks.

> WITHIN YOUR DIVISION -1st place will play 3rd place. 2nd place will play 4th. Winners of those will proceed to the finals.

> The teams who didn’t quite make it will be involved in a mix and match scheduling, where we place you with teams who we feel will be suitable opponents for the following season.

Hopefully, this all makes sense…but if not, you know what to do 😉

REFEREES - A BREIF EXPLANATION 🧐

Yes, yes, yes…we’ve heard it all before. There is nearly always a complaint about a referee each week.

But that’s kind of the nature of the game. Not every decision that the referee makes, will be agreed with by everyone on the pitch…

What you should all know, is that it’s probably easier for 5 drunk Englishman to get into Berghain than it is to find a referee that everyone is happy with.

Yes, they can make mistakes…but that’s human nature.

Yes, they can be a little passive…but that is also a form of human nature.

We would love to have certified training schedules for all of them…but it’s just not feasible.

We point them in the direction of the rules and it is up to them to read them or not…we are sure they do, but they may just skim read it all.

Just like you when you agree to IOS’s new Terms and Conditions while updating 😉

All we here at The Startup League ask from you, is that you give them a little break and not get in their face…they are after all, only human ✌️
