The Startup League crew were fortunate enough to have spent all day out in that sunshine, setting up the pitches, preparing the match day and getting ready to meet and greet you all when you come for your games…wonderful (one more adjective for luck 🍀)

KICK OFF EVENT 🦵⚽

☀️6th July 2022 - GET THAT DATE IN YOUR CALENDAR☀️

6th of July 2022, we are having the official opening of Playground Berlin ▶️

We are not only inviting you lovely people for your usual matches, but also others from the Berlin Startup scene. Expect some new faces and businesses…looking forward to this one 😀

Please do invite whoever you like to come and see what’s going on at Playground Berlin ▶️

Further details are as follows:

> Time? 1830 - 0000 Midnight or later 😉

> Food? Yes…a couple of food trucks for you all to enjoy before or after your matches 😋

> Music? You know it! We have a live band planned and also a fine DJ to play some tunes throughout the evening 🔊

> Drinks? Why yes…The Startup League bar will be in full swing, next to the beach volleyball pitches as per usual 🍻

> There is also talk of a Startup League “Flohmarkt” where we will invite businesses to set up their stall to tell you all about what they do and network. There could even be a few other little bits and pieces of the usual Flohmarkt things going on. Watch this space 👀

Wednesday night…match night, Ollie was approached by one of our Veteran team captains Nick Fox from FC-SOUNDCLOUD, with a rather lovely invitation to all our teams that could be interested in playing a bit more of “The Beautiful Game” - Football…not soccer 😉

OLLIE WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH A FEW TEAMS PERSONALLY, THAT HE KNOW’S HAVE MIXED GENDER SQUADS ANYWAY

This is an all gender inclusive, single day tournament. Details are below:

When? Saturday 30th July 2022, 1000 - 1800Uhr

Where? Berolina Sportplatz (Linienstr, Mitte)

Who and how many players? 7 a side (6 + 1). Min of 2 players of any gender on each team at all times. Min of 3 players of either gender in each squad.

12 teams, 2 groups of 6, at least 5 games per team.

Cost? Entry fee €40; covers referee costs, trophies etc.

On the day, they will also raise money for Ukraine (charity tbc)…please help if you can!

Food and drink available on site.
