What a 1st week that was…the weather wasn’t quite as we all wanted we’re sure, but it is what it is ✌️

Everyone was still smiling and happy as they always are and it was great! Lots of new faces, teams and businesses joining us…it’s heating up for sure.

What’s that I hear you say!? Friday!? No way…we thought this day would never come here at The Startup League! But it has shown it’s amazingly beautiful face again, as it always does :)

Plans for the weekend? FC-UNION Vs FC-HERTHA on Saturday…anyone going? We may possibly show our faces there, so if you see us…come and say hello and buy us a beer 😉

What have we got to say for ourselves this week? Probably the same load of Scheiße we usually do 😀

TEAM ATTENDANCE CHECKING ✅

You know what we love more than football here at The Startup League?

Teams when they check their attendance nice and early 👍

Now we completely understand that there are new users to the platform, so late attendance checking is to be expected from them.

But you Veterans…naughty naughty. A slap on the back of the hand to you 😉

It really does make everything nice and smooth when attendance is checked early, so please try to get that done :)

Team captains…we’re looking at you too 🧐😀

TIME KEEPING ⏳

All of us love when matches start on time…not just us here at The Startup League, but also you - The Startup League Enthusiasts 💪

Wednesday was an example of how crucial it is that matches start on time. We unfortunately had delays of 20+mins.

The Startup League Crew do try our very hardest to change the schedule to try to fit everyone in and make these matches happen. Some weeks we think we’ve found a solution…other weeks not.

When the season properly begins after our “level days”, a penalty system will be introduced. Details below:

> IF YOUR TEAM IS 10 MINUTES LATE FOR KICK OFF, THEM WILL BE CHARGED WITH A 5 GOAL DISADVANTAGE.

> IF YOUR TEAM IS 15 MINUTES LATE, THEN A WIN WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE GIVEN TO THE OTHER TEAM.

Yes…these measures seem a bit harsh. But if teams are late…it affects all those that follow them.

Please be aware, that we have limited people power. If we could have unlimited space and referees that would work for free…then we would build 10 pitches and have no delays.

But we can’t…so rules have to be put in place.
