Congratulations everyone! You’ve made all of us here at The Startup League ⚽ even happier than we already were!

Attendance was great for the 1st match day (a couple of hiccups but nothing to worry about as always). Let’s keep that momentum going for the future weeks…you are what makes the league work after all!

Some very interesting matches were played this week. We mixed up the divisions from last year for a level day and we’re happy we did…a few surprises in the mix there. Lovely stuff!

The Startup League Team even played a match this week to fill in for a no-show team…glad we did really. Had a lot of fun! No wonder you lot love what we do and organise…read on to see how we did ;)

DIVISIONS AND SCHEDULE ➗

Last year we ran “level days” to establish what condition teams were in…for the most part we were super happy (as always) with which division we placed each team.

However, a few of you slipped through the cracks…in a good way of course. We would never talk bad about any of you ;)

We will run next weeks matches as another level day. We have a couple of new teams and we’d also like the opportunity to add a few more teams to mix it up a bit…TIA for your understanding.

Once we get a better idea of the final positions in the divisions for all of you, we’ll get going with the next 10 weeks of The Winter ‘22 Season of The Startup League ⚽

THE Startup League’S MAIDEN VOYAGE 👰‍♀️

Yes…believe it or not, The Startup League ⚽ officially played their first match on Wednesday. Unsuccessfully may we add…

Even with their superstar goal keeper, they still couldn’t hold off the offence of a new team to the roster FC-FOURTWENTE…not sure if there is a reference there 🤔🥦

Truth be told, we were caught unaware due to a late team cancellation so had to jump in…but we did our best and pretty proud of how we managed.

Believe it or not:

Final score Startup League (4) - (20) FC-FOURTWENTE 😉

OSZ DIRECTIONS 🎯

2 teams (FC-GROVER AND FC-TALONONE) chose to utilise the facilities at OSZ last weekend, so we’re putting in a bit more info this week so we are all on the same page…

Or at least the same book ;)

We can use the indoor sports hall at OSZ…this you should all know by now. If you would like to use this venue, please inform us at least 36 hours before you and your team wish to go and we can sort it out.

When you get to OSZ you must:

> BE 2G+

> ASK THE STAFF WORKING THERE FOR DIRECTIONS TO WHERE WE ARE ABLE TO TRAIN.

If the courts are occupied for some reason, another part of the venue will be made available for you.

Ollie might actually turn up there this week (TBC)…more than likely Saturday, so if you wanna pop down there to have a little kickaround, let him know and he can meet you there.
