That time of the week again…Frid(yay)!!

Hope you all have your dancing shoes ready and prepared to be making shapes on the dance floor this weekend!

Or, if you’re like us here at The Startup League, a bit of a quiet weekend cause the week was so crazy ;)

For some reason, the creative juices weren’t quite flowing today. Hence the title of this newsletter. Tried to be funny, but failed…can’t always win :)

The title was intended to be a play on words because we got some new goalkeeper gloves coming for you all to “temporarily borrow” ;)

TiB TEMPELHOF. EXPECTATIONS AND T&C’s…KIND OF :)

Lovely stuff…the 2nd week at Tib Tempelhof has been and gone. It is now a fond memory for all of us.

We would personally like to thank all of you for the headache that was filling out the membership forms in person before being able to play…appreciated. It is yet another hurdle for us in joining another Verein. TiB are old school and require all this kind of stuff in paper form…we all just have to join in with the fun ;)

There are a couple of things that need addressing for when we are there and using their facilities…these are detailed in this rather lovely 1 pager in the image below.

This 1 pager will also be printed and displayed on site during game times…so no excuses in not noticing this rather lovely piece of Google Slides work by yours truly ;)

Your compliance is appreciated, so we all thank you in advance for adhering to these fairly basic, but essential rules in place.

WHAT’S HAPPENING FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON? YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED :)

So…Ollie was asked this week (on more than one occasion) about what the plans are for the rest of the season. We’re gonna have a go at describing this now:

> We will play a total of 12 league matches. Whoever places 1st place on week 12, will move directly into the division above them. If you place 1st in the 1st division…congratulations! You have won the league!

> The following 3 weeks, will be a series of semis and finals. A round Robin style of affairs :)

> If your team wins these rounds, then you will go up a division. What’s that…you were amazing enough to win both? Fine effort…you still go up.

> At week 12, if your team is placed 2nd and the winner of that division also wins the Round Robin, then your team will go up.

> Bottom placed team at week 12, will go down a division…sorry. The loser of the Round Robins will also go down a division.

WHAT’S HAPPENING AFTER THIS SEASON FINISHES?

We do have more than a few options available for us all once this “Summer Season” finishes on the 8th December…hopefully Ollie would have pulled his thumb out and will send an email to all captains by next Friday. Only time shall tell how quickly he manages it ;)

We do all hope that you will join us into the ‘22 Season…there’s some interesting things happening here and we’re pretty pumped to get the ball rolling in the new year.
