Solid 1st official match day for everyone…congratulations 👍

Attendance was solid, smiling, happy, old and new faces were at Playground Berlin ▶️…matches, even started on time. All of them…Ohne Schiße 😀

Let’s keep that same standard for the rest of the Winter ‘23 Startup League Season please and thank you 😘

PROTECTION - AND THE STAYING PROTECTED 🚨

Startup League loves feedback and we always take it seriously when it’s given…including referees 😉

We had a little bit recently, so we shall address it while it is still fresh in our minds :)

Chin-pads…those small items that you place under your socks to protect your precious legs. We will suggest that you get some for yourselves if you wish.

We won’t make it compulsory…we will simply suggest it ✌️

Other protection that you may use (weekends for example) if also entirely up to you…and we strongly suggest that too 😉

RULES AND REGULATIONS ⚽

Now that Startup League matches are played with the net cages at Playground Berlin ▶️, it’s time we set up a few new rules.

Now, whenever we either hire new referees, or introduce a new rules or 2, it always (inevitably) requires the “dust to settle” while these new rules are used by the referees and also known to the players ✌️

We are you for your patience while this all happens 👍⚽

Below are a few of the new ones:

> ALL THE GOAL KICKS SHOULD BE A KICK INS ... NO MORE THROWING 😉

> AS WE ARE NOW PLAYING IN A “CAGE SYSTEM”, WHENEVER THE BALL TOUCHES THE ROOF NETS, THE KICK IN WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE RESPECTIVE SIDE LINE

> YELLOW CARDS WILL BE PENALISED BY 2-5 MINUTES TEMPORARY DISMISSAL/TIME-OUT DEPENDING ON THE INTENSITY OF THE FOUL, WHICH IS UP TO THE REFEREES DISCRETION

> MORE SERIOUS OFFENCES (WHICH WE DOUBT WILL HAPPEN) WILL BE PENALISED ACCORDINGLY 🟥

All rules can be found on our website here. We still need to update them, so once again “bear” 🐻 with us while we get this done 👍
