This week (as we’re sure you are all aware) we had the Startup League 🏐 Q2’24 Finals…and with that, came the winners! 🏆

There’s a whole section devoted to this below!

Fortunately, the sun came out…we were all a little surprised as and when it did, so nothing but a good thing 👍

More of that coming this weekend, no doubt :)

Germany play this evening and if you’ve got nowhere to watch it, the Startup League and Playground Berlin team will be at Playground Berlin to watch the event unravel at our beach bar…maybe see you all there😉

🏐 Q2’24 - THE WINNERS AND Q3 PLANS

Audibene Vs Pliant - the stage was set.

Both teams were more than pumped to be there and take the challenge of becoming Startup League Champignons 🍄

As previously mentioned, the 🏐 Q2’24 Finals were upon us last match day and the supporters network from both teams were out in force! What a lovely sight 😀

Who came out on top?

Audibene managed to take Pliant to win the match…

Not to say that Pliant weren’t a formidable opponent for the Audibenians 💪

3 sets later and the sand cooled down.

3 cheers for Audibene 📣📣📣

🏐 Q3’24 season will commence 24.7.24 to tie in with the ⚽ Q3’24 season…finals on the same date, finally 😀

Let’s see what happens next season 👀

SEMIS, SEMIS - WE’VE ALL GOT SEMIS ⚽

And moving onto the Startup League ⚽ Q2’24 Semi Finals now…starting next week. 10.7.24 👍

x7 divisions, x4 teams in each division…lots to play for.

Most semi finals are scheduled for either 1845 / 1945…most.

We had to schedule a few at 2030 unfortunately. C’est là vie, oder?

The finals will be a different matter of course - we shall be scheduling all those matches at 1845…get the ceremony in nice and early so we can all enjoy our nights 🥳

All of you who didn’t make the cut, of course have matches scheduled. Level Days coming up. New teams coming and we obviously want to test you with teams from other Startup League divisions.

Please do come and see us and attend the matches…because we love to see you 😘

FFWU x Startup League - FOOTBALL FOR WORLDWIDE UNITY 👍

Startup League and Playground Berlin already offer opportunities for local refugees to come and play a bit of footy for free on a nearly daily basis…we have now spread our wings slightly with a partnership with FFWU 🔗

What do they do and how do they explain it theirselves? Probably better than I do, I can say that much :)

Football For Worldwide Unity is a German NGO that trains youth football coaches in marginalized communities. The coaches act as leaders and role models in their teams, using football to specifically promote the physical, mental, social and emotional development of children.

And now, how can you get involved somewhat?

We will soon be implementing a donation system, where what you give makes a difference. Watch this space…there will be ideas floating around on how to and Startup League will of course be involved too 👍
