We were all threatened with rain Wednesday night, with Startup League staff getting the regular WhatsApp messages regarding such matters 💬

But, NO! It didn’t happen 😀

Yes, there was a little bit (a light dusting) but not what we all potentially thought was going to happen…3 cheers for the Wednesday weather!

Anyway…referees. Again with the referees. It’s just a subject that keeps popping up.

Not only with you (Startup League Enthusiasts) but us…Startup League Team. We really must sound like a broken record.

Picture this…it’s Wednesday, 1700Uhr. The schedule is finished (finally), teams that have not met attendance have been notified, friendlies have been found for all those that want one - it’s all looking pretty good 👍

Then…boom 💥

Three (yes 3) referees cancel, just an hour and 45 mins before the 1st set of matches are scheduled to kick off…oh fü©㉿ 😀

It’s for sure our problem, not yours…we just like to make you all aware of the difficulties surrounding sourcing reliable, professional referees…not that you don’t make your voices heard ✌️

It’s more than understandable that you do let us know when you’re not happy with either the quality or decisions they make…it helps us develop different systems for not only acquiring them, but also how to keep the good ones sweet 👌

So, please continue to give us feedback. “With pressure, comes change”

As most (if not hopefully all) of you are aware, Startup League are hosting their own “World Cup” during the month of December 🎄

We’re more than aware that a few of you will be going elsewhere in the world for the month, so this is the option for all those that are staying in this wonderfully sunny city that is known as Berlin 🧸

There’s probably a few questions you have, so some (we really hope all) shall be answered below:

> Is it of additional charge?

- Nope. This is another wonderful addition for you, from Startup League

> Can I pick a country?

- Nope. This will just cause a massive headache for everyone

> Can we join if it’s only for one match day?

- Yes indeed. No problem there ✌️

> What happens if we lose a match?

- Even if you lose your match, you can stick around for a cheeky Glühwein (cause Startup League think we need that at Bierghain now) and we can try to find you another match to play

> When is this fine piece of Startup League history happening?

- On the 7th and 14th of December

> How can I join in with all this fun that Startup League are providing?

- There’s a link in the button above. Just press it really gently with your thumb or finger and it will take you through the cables of the internet, to a page that you can fill out your details on

> When’s the deadline to join this wonderful event?

- 25th November, before 1100Uhr
