1st match day on the new pitches at Playground Berlin ▶️ done and dusted! 💪

And to be perfectly honest, nothing but positive feedback from you all…unless there’s something that you’re not telling us 😉

All of us here at Startup League felt that play was a little more intense, given that we had put nets up all around the pitches, meaning the ball was in play a lot more. The weather was also more than well behaved and looks the same for next week too :)

WHAT DID WE DO AND WHAT WILL WE DO - PREPARATIONS FOR MATCH DAY ⚽

Last week, you all played on the Verein’s - ESV Lok Schöneweide grass pitch. 7 day ago.

This week…you all played on the Playground Berlin ▶️ astroturf pitches.

Everything was moved, put in place and ready to go within 7 days…let’s call it 6 days to make Startup League look better shall we 😀

> The floodlights were taken down, placed higher on the IBC containers for more coverage.

> Nets were removed and new ones added surrounding the pitches to create a more intense playing atmosphere.

> We all learnt some new knot techniques to help us get these nets up…even a KitKat regular would be proud ⛓️

> Yes…the turf has been being laid for some time, but there were still finishing touches to be made before play could commence.

We’re all super proud of what was achieved and there were some blood sweat and tears involved in it all 💪

With the feed back that was given, we think we achieved it…so thank you all for the positive responses ✌️

BEACHVOLLEYBALL AND WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK 🏐

Please ignore the picture of football below…but we didn’t actually have any pictures from BeachVolleyball this week 🤫

What can be said about the brave Beachvolleyball enthusiasts this week?

While the season starts soon in BeachMitte, there were some teams and even solo players from Berlin's finest Startup League teams that came to Playground Berlin ▶️ to play against each other, train, and have fun.

What was the most interesting part about all of this, was to see people interacting with each other, and organising mini-matches until they got tired...it was beautiful 🌹

Next week we will have the same dynamic. All teams are invited at 18:45 to get together to train and enjoy!

So we can only recommend that if this interests you, then there is an open door policy...come along and see not only us, Startup League crew, but also the other lovely people that will attend 😍
